Playing on the Periphery by Tara Brabazon
A tremendous application of post-colonial theory and interesting mix of sports, imagery, memory and masculinity.

The Courage to Teach by Parker Palmer
David Giles mentioned this author to me, and it is a memorable recognition of the important relationship between student and teacher.
