Why the disclaimer?

You may have noticed the disclaimer I've added to my 'About Me' section. This is only because I found out that other faculties within the university do not want staff to have websites external to their staff profile website. The Faculty of Education does not have a policy like this that I am aware of. Hence, I thought it would be wise to put on a disclaimer, of my own initiative, because I wish to continue posting what I like on my blog, and wish to continue promoting my blog. I still wish to be known as someone who works for UOW, but yet do not want my views to be in any way a reflection of the university's views.
